| Perfect North itself is a day resort. It has no on site lodging, and no plans to build any. As Chip Perfect puts it, "You cannot recoup an investment in lodging on a three month season. Those resorts have golf, tennis, rafting and other year round activities to keep that lodging filled. We don't have enough acres here for that. We've learned how to run a ski operation, and that's where we'll continue to concentrate our resources." Fortunately, there are many excellent choices available in the area. | However, we have a bias in the choice of lodging. We believe in staying as near the slopes as possible, partly for convenience, and partly to sample the local flavor. We would not stay in Charleston to ski at Winterplace, in Elkins to ski at Snowshoe, or in Pittsburgh to ski at Seven Springs. Following this reasoning, we would not stay in Ohio or Kentucky to ski at Perfect North. There are many fine hotels and motels across and up the river, but we recommend a Lawrenceburg faciliy. |

This magnificent structure
is the Lawrenceburg Hotel, six miles from Perfect North. It is state
of the art, with 300 rooms. The hotel is right on the river, in the
middle of town. It is within covered walking distance of four restaurants
and a sports bar and within a few blocks of another half dozen franchise
restaurants. There is covered parking, a major consideration in Winter.
There is a fitness center, which after a day's skiing may be irrelevant,
and an indoor pool, which may be very appealing. This is an upscale
facility, with a typical package of $149 for two (that includes two
lift tickets which would be $80 bought separately, and two breakfast
buffets which would be $20 if bought separately). However, we've known
groups to receive deep discounts here. |
Holiday Inn Express Quality Inn There are also the Riverside Inn and the Wishing Well Inn. Their rates are lower but they do not include as many perks. And Batesville's Stay Inn offers a $126 package. |

If you insist on staying in Kentucky, you'll drive10 minutes further. Your choices would include: First Farm Inn, a luxury bed and breakfast.
